Following Governor Mark Dayton’s annual State of the State Address, Minnesota AFL-CIO President Shar Knutson issued the following statement:
“Since taking office, Governor Dayton has provided the strong leadership Minnesota needs to take us from budget deficits to surpluses. His policies have helped put Minnesota’s economy back on strong footing while investing in the future.
In his speech tonight, the Governor made it clear that he had no intention of resting on an already successful record. From increased investment in PreK-12 and higher education to a bold, comprehensive, job creating transportation package, Governor Dayton is committed to building an even better Minnesota for years to come.”
